Am I a Liberal?

I recently found the following as parts of an on-line Editorial, written by Taylor Batten, In The Charlotte Observer newspaper. He wrote this stuff in answer to the accusatory question; "Why do you support such a Liberal Agenda?" Mr Batten merely answered the question in reference to most of the current Political controversies IN America today:
We believe that everyone is created with equal rights and responsibilities.
We believe that children should not bear responsibility for the sins of their parents.
We believe people should not be treated as lesser citizens, with fewer rights, because of whom they love.
We believe that discrimination is wrong in every instance.
We believe that police officers should act professionally, even under incredibly difficult circumstances, regardless of a suspect’s race.
We believe taxes should be kept as low as possible, but while still providing a sound safety net for the neediest, a robust education for all, decent health care for the elderly and the destitute, and other basics.
We believe that there are people of worth beyond our OWN tight circle, and there are neighborhoods beyond our own, with different histories, perspectives and needs.
We believe there are peace-loving Muslims.
We believe in the separation of church and state.
We believe that, if you’re a fan of a politician solely because he has a ‘D’ or an ‘R’ after his name, then you’re simply not paying attention.
We believe we have only one planet, and we should protect it, not only for our selves, but for our grandchildren.
We do NOT believe that President Obama was born in Kenya.
I could not ask for a better or more inclusive answer as to why I am regarded, by some, to be a Liberal. [And I DO believe that Mitt Romney probably WAS born in a Polygamy Colony, in Mexico or Canada.] But AM I really particularly liberal? What do you think? Am I a LIBERAL, or am I merely a GOOD CITIZEN?
